A refreshment course in negotations and mediation
On April 13th and 14th 22 Vietnamese trainers from both the South and the North met in Hanoi for a refreshment and reflection training prepared by the Dutch trainers of DECP/ AWVN. Training of Teachers in negotiation skills occurred in 2011 in Hanoi and 2012 in HCMC. Mediation Training took place in both cities in autumn 2014.
This refreshment training demonstrated that a selection of our trainers is quite capable of executing the training in the market. They are also the trainers who can transfer the knowledge and skills to new trainers and further train the less experienced trainers. Most important for further development of the trainers is the market development, which is still below expectation. Also repeating sessions like this for the Network Club of trainers facilitated by our top Vietnamese trainers will help a lot in further development of our trainers, thus supporting the development of constructive labour relations in Vietnam. The Ministry of Social Affairs, VCCI and trade unions agree that improving labour relations is a major priority in the development of a healthy and competitive private sector in Vietnam.
