Developing the FUE's new Business Agenda

A two day mission to the Federation of Uganda Employers (FUE) was undertaken by the DECP Country Manager Andrew Moore.

Meetings took place with the Executive Director of the FUE who is also the  Chairman of the East African Employers Organisation (EAEO) to prepare the Annual General Meeting of this organisation in Arusha at the end of March.

The mission also provided the opportunity to develop further the plans for the development of the new FUE new “Business Agenda” which will set out key FUE policy priorities for the coming three years. The DECP has agreed to provide both technical and financial support in the development of the agenda.

The FUE has over the last few months, with support from the DECP developed its own “Membership Strategy” which will enhance its recruitment and retention of members. Meetings during the mission provided the opportunity to discuss its implementation.
