Investment Seminar Suriname organised by VSB and the Dutch Embassy

During his trip to Suriname, Thieu Korten also attended –on April 24th- a conference on the investment climate in Suriname, subsidised by the Dutch Embassy and DECP. Some 60 participants from business, government and other institutions were present, as well as Mr. Peter-Derrek Hof, Head of Economic Affairs of the Dutch Embassy.  
They listened to high quality presentations of an economist of a Trinidad bank, an economist of the Suriname bank, an investment agent and to a fiscal consultant, after which a lively discussion took place.  
The event was covered by the media and Rene van Essen, General Director of the Suriname Trade and Industry Association VSB, and Thieu Korten were interviewed.
