During a working conference in the center of La Paz entrepreneurs made clear what according to them should be done to improve the business climate of the region. The La Paz-region is lagging behind in economic development, compared with other regions of Bolivia. All sector organizations presented a document illustrating the problems their industry has to cope with and the solutions.

The Camara de Industria made clear that La Paz-industrialists did not invest in new machinery, primarily because of legal uncertainty and the protest marches that block traffic in the streets of La Paz almost every day.

At the end of the conference that marked the 20th anniversary of the regional Federación de Empresarios Privados de La Paz a manifesto was presented that was distilled out of the proposals of the presentations of sector organizations. At night this manifesto with a list of demands on behalf the La Paz business world was presented to the governor of the department.
