With support of DECP, the Union of Unions of Employers of Republika Srpska (UUPRS) in Bosnia-Herzegovina organized a Round Table on Tuesday 17 December 2013 in Banja Luka on Ways to support Private Capital in RS. The meeting was chaired by the president of UUPRS, Mr. Predrag Zgonjanin, and attended by the RS-ministers of Labour, of Industry, Energy and Mining and of Economic Relations, as well as about 50 businessmen of RS. After a lively discussion there was broad agreement among participants that it is necessary to quickly realize reforms in order to improve the business environment.

The event was followed by a new-year cocktail with over 300 guests during which the president of UUPRS handed over to the Prime Minister of RS of a copy of the White Book of UUPRS on „7 obstacles to the development of private capital in RS”, i.e. the instable political climate, the inefficient social dialogue, red-tape, inflexible labour laws, corruption, the informal economy  and the inability to adapt the educational system to the needs of the labour market.
