Cooperating employers organisations in regions

Employers’ issues often cross borders. DECP strongly believes in the added value of sharing knowledge and experiences at a supranational level, in geographically and culturally coherent regions. That is why we stimulate employers’ organisations to cooperate with their colleagues from neighbouring countries in federations of regional employers’ organisations.

Often partner organisations of DECP work together in regional federations like ACE (ASEAN Confederation of Employers), SAFE (South Asian Forum of Employers), EAEO (East African Employers Organisation) and the FOPAO (Fédération d’Organisations Patronales de l’Afrique de l’Ouest).

Cross-cutting activities in these regional federations have a high return on investment. They ensure better access to decision makers and guarantee regional diffusion of new policies and innovation in the fields of labour-market policy and social dialogue.

DECP supports its partner organisations to reap the fruits of cross-cutting activities in regional federations and delivers country specific follow up if needed.
