A seminar on strategic planning for APINDO

On 27 and 28 January 2015 DECP special advisor Rogier CHORUS held a workshop on strategic planning and the relation between board and secretariat at the APINDO office. 5 Board members, including Chairman Hariyadi Sukamdani and Executive Director Pambudhi attended the workshop that focused on developing an APINDO strategy for the coming 4-5 years. Ideas were exchanged on analysing the position of APINDO in the rapidly developing Indonesian setting and on drawing conclusions as to developing a business agenda and mobilising limited resources in order to strengthen APINDO as the voice of Indonesian business. Attention was also paid to APINDO’s wish to extend its activities to investment policy issues, in addition to industrial relations, as its core business.

After the workshop 8 items were retained for future APINDO-DECP co-operation, including the organisation of seminars on lobbying & advocacy and on negotiating collective agreements.
