Over 80 representatives of VCCI members in the Danang Region gave their opinion on planned changes in the labour Code of Vietnam. This was the last  Roadshows in a series of three, after Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. These meetings have the objective to influence the government in taking into account the employers interests while working on the necessary changes in the Labour Code. These changes are a part of the effort of the Vietnamese economy to integrate into the world economy by participating in Free Trade Agreements.

Basic rule is to ensure to comply the Labour Code with the general rules for labour relations in the market economies, to protect different parties as well as flexibility in labour relations. Important issues discussed were labour Wages, employment, working hours, trade-unions and collective bargaining. Minutes of these discussions will be brought in at national level and thus contribute to the social dialog about this new law.
