Addressing a range of issues with the FUE
From October 31st to November 2nd 2011 DECP undertook a three day mission to the FUE in Kampala. The main objective of this mission was to work closely with the FUE management to see how they can address a number of financial issues. The mission was also an opportunity for the DECP to discuss in some detail with senior staff the FUE work at a regional level and what can be done to strengthen the FUE regional offices.
The opportunity was also taken to discuss taking forward the FUE Business Agenda and in specific the issue of Skills. The FUE will be working on a position paper over the coming weeks.
