Advising on how to collect subscriptions
From October 22nd to 26th 2011 DECP’s country manager for Tanzania undertook an advisory mission to the Association of Tanzania Employers (ATE) in Dar es Salaam. This time he concentrated mainly on two important issues. The first was to work with ATE on a number of membership issues which included preparing a strategy for collecting outstanding subscriptions and advising members on a major increase in the 2012 subscription level.
The second major issue was to work with ATE on how it would take forward its Business Agenda and how it would engage the membership and the policy makers.
The mission was also an opportunity for DECP to meet with a number of other organisations to brief them on key developments both within ATE as well as in the newly formed East African Employers Organisation (EAEO)
