The DECP undertook a two day advisory mission to the Employers Federation of Pakistan (EFP) on 11 and 12 September 2017. The purpose of the mission was to meet with the President and members of the EFP Board together with the Secretary General to discuss current developments and also to discuss possible plans for the proposed DECP programme 2018-22.

During the course of discussions it was noted that EFP membership had increased over the last six months which included not only company membership but also some of the significant trade associations in Pakistan.

The President of the EFP had indicated that he was willing to take on the proposed Chairmanship of a regional organisation South Asia Federation of Employers (SAFE) which brings together a number of Employers’ Organisation within the region and is supported by the DECP.

The mission also provided the opportunity to meet some of the newly appointed staff to the EFP secretariat and to provide some technical assistance.
