The Employers Federation of Pakistan (EFP) has undertaken a number of changes over the last eighteen months. These changes have been in the profile of the organisation as well as an increase in membership and services. The DECP undertook a mission to the EFP to discuss in detail how these changes can be sustained and to make plans for 2019 in line with the agreed 2018-2022 Business Plan.

During the course of the mission the DECP attended a one day conference for CEO’s held in Karachi. The purpose of the conference was to get CEO’s more involved in the work of the EFP and provide the opportunity to hear at first hand some of key initiatives which have helped in the development of enterprises in Pakistan.

It was agreed during the mission that the EFP would undertake a Membership Survey. This survey will look at the satisfaction of the current membership and also potential membership. The DECP agreed to provide both technical as well as financial support for this survey.

In order for the EFP Board to discuss in detail how they will approach the newly appointed Government and to study the outcome of the Membership Survey a Board retreat will be held in January facilitated by the DECP.
