GEA's services and the recruitment of members

Andrew Moore Country manager View profile

In October 2013 the DECP supported both technically and financially a two day retreat for the Council of the Ghana Employers Association (GEA). Resulting from this retreat a number of developments have taken place both at a Council level as well as within the GEA Secretariat. These developments on both the services provided by the GEA to its members as well as how the GEA can recruit and retain more members have been the subject of a lot of discussion and development. The DECP country manager Andrew Moore undertook a mission to the GEA in Accra from 16-18 July 2014 to discuss the proposal for a follow up retreat in October 2014 to develop further the work already undertaken.

The mission also provided the opportunity to discuss the outline of a new “GEA Business Agenda” which will cover the period of 2015 -2017. The agenda will set out in detail the key issues to be addressed by the GEA on behalf of its membership.
