The Association of Tanzania Employers (ATE) in Dar es Salaam faces a number of challenges when it comes to bringing in subscriptions. During the course of a three day mission in July, the DECP Country Manager Andrew Moore shared with staff a number of tools that could be used to follow up with non paying members. One of these tools was the publication of an ATE Membership Pack setting out what ATE can provide for its membership. It is hoped this publication would be completed within the next six weeks in time for proposed membership events to be held in Arusha and Mwanza.

The mission also provided the opportunity to discuss the possibility of the production of an ATE Business Agenda although due to staff changes over the coming weeks this was in doubt.

A meeting also took place with the representative from Danish Industries (DI) that are currently funding social dialogue projects. Discussions took place on how the DECP and DI could work closer together with the East African Employers Organisation.
